AMMAN— AMEA Power UAE announced the commercial start-up of its two power stations in the cities of Tafileh and Maan with a total capacity of about 100MW and a total investment volume of up to $188 million, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Al-Husainiyah Energy announced the commercial start of the Al Husainiyah Solar Power Plant in Maan with a capacity of up to 50MW to supply approximately 50,000 households with clean energy.
At the beginning of this month, Abour Energy Company announced the commercial start-up of the wind power transit station in Tafileh with a capacity of up to 50MW to supply clean energy to 40,000 Jordanian households.
In a press release on Sunday, AMEA Chairman Hussain Al-Nowais said that the two stations would provide clean energy to more than 90 thousand families in Jordan.
He highlighted that the company’s energy projects played an essential role in supporting the Kingdom’s ambitions for clean energy and increasing its contribution towards domestic energy supply by 30 percent by 2030.
